What did you just say to yourself?

As women, we tend to judge ourselves. We say things in the mirror we would never say to a friend.

Why is that OK?

It isn’t. And our bodies hear everything.

Next time you catch yourself being judgmental, try these tips from Mayo Clinic:

1. Don’t say anything to yourself that you wouldn’t say to someone else.

2. Take time to stop and evaluate what you’re thinking during the day.

3. If a negative thought enters your mind, evaluate the thought and respond with positive affirmations about yourself.

Here are some affirmations we love.

Oh, by the way

PS: The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz is a great resource to review again and again. In many ways it’s a practical guide for nurturing relationships. Read the highlights here.
