“If love is universal, no one can be left out.”
– Deepak Chopra
Welcome to this week’s edition of the Friday Five. From viral videos to inspiring stories – find out what’s trending below!
Rad initiative! Global meditation for peace…
Join Deepak Chopra tomorrow for the world’s largest global meditation for peace. The event launches in partnership with songstress India Arie and other spirit ambassadors. Get your meditation on and chime in with the hashtag #IAMPEACE. Register here.
This one’s for the girls…
Soon-to-be Late Show host, Stephen Colbert gets serious for an interview with Rookie Mag, an online magazine for teen girls. Colbert answers reader questions about life, relationships, and social etiquette. Not all of his answers will be popular, but this pensive, Dad-ish version of Colbert is impressive. Watch here.
Pets love yoga too…
It’s a likely story… you’re practicing your downward dog and Fido comes bounding over to snuggle, jump on you, and drop her ball in front of you. So funny. Watch here.
What to do on ladies night or date night…
Painting dates are all the rage, especially for non-art major types (stick figures, anyone?). Paint Nite takes you back to art class – if art class served your favorite cocktail (their motto is “drink creatively”). Relax with your favorite person and leave with a masterpiece. Search the event calendar for your local area.
Pantone fall colors have been announced…
The color experts at Pantone have declared Mauve Mist, Bright Cobalt, Sangria, and Cypress (green) as official fall colors. Pantone exec, Leatrice Eiseman shared, “This is a season of untypical colors… a feminine mystique that is reflected throughout the palette, inspired by the increasing need for women everywhere to create an individual imprint.”
Oh, by the way
PS: We’re heading out to Social Fresh West in San Diego this fall! We’ll be doing another pre-event yoga class. If you’re curious about using social marketing for business, grab your ticket and join us there!
